Stories of May Creative Sessions

We offer high quality movement and drama sessions, with a focus on music, for EYFS through to KS2. Using music from multiple continents, we have designed activities for each Key Stage and have delivered educational creative sessions in East Anglia for over eight years. We offer sessions that encourage young people to think and act creatively, explore empathy and emotional regulation, and to use movement within their everyday lives.

Through our sessions, the following skills/understanding will be gained and/or developed:

EYFS:

Key Stage One:

Join Rosy with an interactive story of a child called Song, who adventures to find the juiciest mango, with dancing and live percussion

Listen and Move

The students will respond creatively to different djembe sounds and explore connecting them to emotions.

45 minute movement session

Use our bodies to tell the story of a plants journey from planting the seed and helping it grow, accompanied by a live djembe

Move and Groove

The children will respond creatively to different djembe sounds and will also learn some dance moves during a workshop designed to get even those “non-dancers” moving
